Jeff, My pride

My first-born, Jeff always awed me. From the moment he was born with exquisite timing at 1:42 in early morning of September 7, 1995, he always brought pride, and luck, into my life. If you are into numerology, the time and date of his birth sum up to 7 and to add to the moment, he was born on the same date as his Ninang Reggie, an amazing woman herself and my best mate.
Jeff always excelled in whatever endeavor he chooses to take on. He has not yet learned or appreciated the tremendous gift that he has- God-given abilities and luck to conquer and achieve dreams that lesser mortals can only wish for. He had achieved feats that I even, in my lifetime, can never get near to. At such a young age (barely 1), he showed tremendous talent in sports and music. He can already shoot a basketball through the hoop with the natural gait and form of a Michael Jordan. In singing, he cannot even barely sing the lyrics clearly but he carried the tune well and expressed the song like a Pro. He did not pass through the nursery rhymes phase, he went straight to pop ballads and jazz ( from Jaya to April Boy to Renz Verano ha ha ha). And he has unfailing energy to sing his heart out in every performance be it in family gatherings or even office performances ha ha ha. I would bring him to my office and each unit would ask him to sing ( and there were about 7 units or offices in the company) his signature song then " Di ko kayang Tanggapin". With boundless energy, without tantrums even ( rare for a 3 year old boy), he would give out his best performance for each and every audience that he had. Thus, it did not come as a surprise for us that at four years old he coaxed us to enter him to the That's my Boy contest of Eat Bulaga in 2000. He went all the way to the Grand Finals only to lose because his voice has become hoarse from the constant rehearsals before the finals ( and then of course, the winners were better than him I guess, to be fair ) but to be on national tv and carried himself well made his family proud. Jeff is one of a kind. I just hope he continues this way... unto his next challenge .. the sports of badminton.. his exploits of which will be for my next post

I've always wanted to do a website for my kids. I think even before the time that the "blog" word became a craze. Now, because of a well-meaning techie friend or at least more techie than me, she got me started on this long-time project. Thank God for friends (like 'Che) who have all the time in their hands to help a friend like me to get my plans get going.
I wanted to post an album of my kids because I love them and are proud of them of course. On the selfish side I want a venue to vent my artistic eklavu.. hehe For practical reasons, I hate clutter in the house, I don't know what to do with all of these "old" albums ( which I can't throw away 'coz my Mom lovingly put it together or was it my sister? ;) )
Oh my, now I could not stop "blogging" hahaha.. Che told me I would get addicted to this.. so I will take a pause now.. and gather my kids' albums ( with nice scrapbook accessories hehe) which I made and convert it to my new passion... Finally, my kid's site on cyberspace :) A little tribute to my boys, my pride and my joy..
